Glass, and only glass
Blu's is not a bathroom remodeler who also does glass. Glass is the whole business, and it has been for more than forty years, run by Tom Henderson out of the workshop on Route 3A in Cohasset.
That narrowness is the point. It is why a frameless door out of this shop closes properly on a tiled corner that is a degree out of plumb, why we will tell you when a semi-frameless door is genuinely the better answer for your room, and why we are an authorized Diamon-Fusion provider rather than a shop that heard about the coating once.

How a door actually gets made
Every enclosure we build goes through the same four steps in the same order. Nothing here is unusual, but the order is what separates a door that still swings sweetly in ten years from one that does not.
The measure
A tiled corner is almost never square and almost never plumb. Before a single piece of glass is ordered we measure the real opening, check the curb and the walls for the lean they actually have, and work out what that lean means for the hinge side. That is the step that decides whether a frameless door closes sweetly for twenty years or drags on the tile in year two.
The template
For anything frameless or neo-angle we template the opening rather than trusting a dimension written on a pad. Glass is cut once and tempered before it leaves, so it cannot be trimmed on site the way a piece of trim can. The template is what lets us hold a consistent gap down a long vertical edge instead of tapering it across the height of the door.
The glass
Frameless glass carries its own weight, so the thickness, the hinge geometry and what the wall behind the tile can hold are one decision, not three. This is also the point where Diamon-Fusion goes on, because the coating is applied to the glass rather than sold in a bottle for you to wipe on later.
The install
The same crew that measured sets the glass. Doors get hung, checked for swing and sweep, and sealed. If something moves in the first seasons, as a door occasionally will once a house has been through a winter, we come back and set it right. Our customers say that part out loud more often than they talk about the glass.
What we build
Most of what leaves the shop is a shower enclosure. The rest is mirrors, hardware and the Diamon-Fusion coating that goes on the glass before it ever reaches your bathroom.
Signature work
Thick tempered glass, no surrounding frame, hardware set straight into the tile. The cleanest way to leave a tiled corner visible, and the version that most depends on the opening being measured properly first.

Framed and semi-frameless
Metal on every edge, or metal only where the glass needs it. Both use thinner glass, both forgive a wall that is out of true, and both cost less than frameless. Sometimes they are simply the right answer for the room.

Mirrors cut and hung to suit the vanity and the light rather than the width of the wall, plus the towel racks, clips and glass mounted handrails that go on the enclosure itself.

An optically clear coating that resists hard water staining, makes the glass easier to clean and removes the need for harsh and abrasive cleaners. You cannot get Diamon-Fusion just anywhere. We are an authorized provider.
